Congratulations to Stephanie Schrage of Millburn, New Jersey on achieving the first ‘triple crown’ in New Jersey Girls High School Tennis history.
First, Stephanie won seven rounds, all in straight sets, to capture the State Singles crown. She defeated Vineland’s Tess Fisher 6-2, 6-1 in under an hour at Mercer County Park. At the same time, Millburn’s first doubles team captured the doubles State Title, just one court away.
Four days later, Stephanie led her team to the All-Group New Jersey Team State Championship. This capped off a perfect season for Stephanie, ending her season with a record of 28-0. This rare feat of winning the Team, Singles and Doubles titles has never been done before.
